Highway Star 2007 is a South Korean musical- comedy, romance film directed by Kim Sang-chan and Kim Hyun-soo. Starring Cha Tae- hyun, Im Chae-moo, and Lee So- yeon.
Highway Star Plot
A backup vocalist from a rock band in a small town, Bong Dalho is sick of being stocked in one corner just as a backup singer. Out of the blue, one- night, Dalho and his friends locked their vocalist inside the locker and they managed to perform on stage. Jang Joon, executive of a record company, sees potential in the clueless vocalist and promises to make him a star. Dalho’s expectations of becoming a rockstar have failed, he’s been duped into signing a contract with a label that specializes in trot music. Thanks to Cha Seo- yeon, one of his colleagues that helped him love trot music.
The time has come for Bong Dalho’s first appearance on television but as a technique or whatsoever Dal-ho suddenly wears a mask out of shame but his strategy works a positive impact on the viewers. Wearing the mask increased the public’s curiosity about the new star, doubling his popularity.
In the final battle of the competition, Bong Dalho took his mask and revealed his true face, wondering if he would remain a star without the mask.
