Man Of Will Plot
Back in 1890s, a man named Kim Chang-soo is sent to prison for his role in the murder of a Japanese man who took part in Empress Myeongseong’s assassination. Behind bars, Chang-soo sees that the prisoners are impoverished and uneducated and he finds out most are wrongly convicted. He begins to teach them letters so that they could clear their false charges. Gradually, he becomes the hope in the prison. However one day, Chang-soo and his fellows forcily assigned to a large Japanese construction site where nothing but the ordeal worse than death is waiting. While waiting for his judgement, Chang-soo’s inmates signed a petition to the Majesty, pleading to investigate their situation and the corrupt warden kang Hyung-sik who is secretly dealing with the Japanese official, and most of all, they ask the Majesty to spare Chang-soo’s.
