The Forgotten Plot
Jin-seok feels uncomfortable with their new house, many things that seem so off for him. He can hear noises coming from one of the rooms..entering is strictly prohibited. Jin is grateful enough to have a wonderful family, a loving mom and dad, and an older brother (Joo-seok) that is kind to him.
One rainy evening, as Joo asked Jin for a walk. It was so sudden when a group of men abducted Joo, Jin tried to rescue his brother but the event was too quick, though he memorised the van’s plate number. Back home, Jin was terrified of Jo’s disappearance. Jin had nightmares and anxiety attacks, he could only calm himself after taking pills. It was the 19’th day when Joo returned, Jin began noticing discrepancies in his family’s personality. He then realizes that they are not his family at all, but people pretending to be his family. He escapes the house and goes to the police. When he tells them he is 21 years old, the officer, skeptical, asks him what year it is. He replies that it’s 1997; the officer reveals that it is actually 2017. Jin is, in fact, 41 years old.
Jin is shocked as he looks around and sees signs of modern life. He returns to their house and confronts the people pretending to be his family. Everything is planned, it was all part of the method that the police set up to help the killers recover his forgotten memory, and that is Jin…the long lost killer and Joo is the son of Jin’s victims.
