Questions
Straight answers.
Is Xummary free?
Yes. Free Weekly gives you the week’s most significant stories with clearly labeled ads — no account and no card. Daily is $3 a month or $20 a year and adds the Daily and Monthly editions, Local, full search and history, and removes ads.
Do I need an X account?
No. Xummary reads public conversation and primary sources for you. You never log in anywhere to read a story, and original posts stay linked so you can check them yourself.
Is it biased?
Every selection is an editorial act, so we don’t claim “no bias.” We claim something you can check: published, mechanical rules; category quotas so one topic can’t take over the day; and a “Why is this here?” panel on every story. There is no left/center/right meter — those flatten reality and we don’t ship one.
How is this different from Apple News or Google News?
Those are feeds: infinite, tuned to keep you scrolling, with headlines written to be tapped. Xummary is a short, dated list of the stories that mattered — each one stripped of spin and written as facts, with its sources — and when we get something wrong, the correction is pinned to the top.
Can I cancel?
Anytime. You keep access through the end of the period you paid for. Full refund within 14 days of purchase; after that, cancel at period end from the Stripe Customer Portal.
